This newly designed residence embodies the understated elegance that defines Studio Vahid’s work — warm modernism shaped through craftsmanship, proportion, and light. Created for a couple seeking a home that feels serene yet expressive, House No. 14 translates modern living into a tactile and timeless experience. The architecture offered a generous framework of height and volume, which the interior design refined into intimate, harmonious spaces. Natural oak, limestone, and plaster form the core materials, chosen for their honesty and warmth. The result is a home that feels grounded and calm — where every element has a quiet presence rather than a loud statement. The open kitchen and dining area form the social heart of the house. A sculptural oak dining table sits beneath a cluster of glass pendant lights, surrounded by soft woven chairs that invite everyday gatherings. The travertine countertop continues into the kitchen island, creating a continuous visual rhythm between preparation and dining. Subtle variations in texture — brushed metal fixtures, natural fabrics, and the sheen of hand-glazed tiles — lend depth without distraction. In the living room, pale oak walls and built-in shelving define a space that feels both curated and effortless. Neutral upholstery, sculptural lighting, and art in muted tones bring layers of comfort and personality. Large windows flood the room with daylight, softening the boundary between interior and exterior. Every view is framed intentionally, turning ordinary moments into quiet compositions. The private areas echo the same sense of restraint and comfort. In the bedroom, tailored cabinetry and warm textiles create an atmosphere of sanctuary. A muted palette of sand, rust, and charcoal grounds the space, while brass lighting and handcrafted details add intimacy. The design avoids excess, focusing instead on texture, proportion, and the feeling of stillness. The bathroom, defined by travertine and matte plaster, is designed as a small retreat — serene, tactile, and balanced. Dual basins in natural stone, black fixtures, and subtle lighting make the space feel both luxurious and grounded. The walk-in shower, lined with soft-toned tiles, extends the sense of calm and continuity that runs throughout the house. Studio Vahid approached House No. 14 with the belief that modern interiors should not only look beautiful but feel good to live in. Each material, tone, and junction was carefully composed to bring quiet emotion to the everyday. The home stands as a reflection of what defines the studio’s philosophy: contemporary design that feels timeless, warm, and deeply human.
